MM38 – Next In Our Midwest Modern Series
Freese Architecture is once again partnering with Austin Lee, LLC on the second in our series of Midwest Modern homes, called MM38, now under construction at 3031 East 38th Place in Tulsa. This home, like our first one, will be designed for the open market with all the latest amenities, yet with our distinctly modern design and refined details that will set it apart from typical spec homes. Decidedly of the present but with a nod to Midcentury Modern design, this home will feature a soaring interior public space under the main shed roof, with large windows framing dramatic sky views and inviting abundant natural light. A mezzanine adjoining a recreation room overlooks the expansive public space below, and connects the second floor and public functions of the home.
Simple exterior materials of elongated masonry and vertical siding allow the sculptural form of the home to take center stage. A trellis structure at the front frames the entry and adds a permeable ceiling to the front porch. The private master suite at the rear includes an oversized bathroom and closets, and commands resort-like poolside views.
Our first home in this series, MM31, was a huge hit with rave reviews and national coverage in Dwell Magazine’s online edition! We’re keeping the energy high with this new project, slated for completion in spring of 2020.
